  1. Hi, dear Suzanne! It always makes me feel sad to see pictures of dogs taken years ago and to know that they have long since come to the end of their lives and left behind those who loved them. I hope your weather has turned gentle as a lamb and I wish you and yours a safe and happy Holiday weekend!

    1. Good Evening Mr. Knight! The dog in my photo lived to be 16 years old...he was one of the best watch dogs I ever had. And, I agree with you, they leave us behind. Our last dog passed away almost 2 years ago now, and, we just haven't been able to get another one yet. This was the hardest one for me to lose, so, I'm just not ready yet. But, we do contribute to the shelters, and donate foods, shampoos, and other items they need.

We've had more rain, but nothing tremendous...San Antonio had some heavy rains and flooding Friday nite. And, I know, the mosquitoes are breeding in multitudes as we speak! Ughgh!

It is great to hear from you. We've got Scootie on board this weekend, so busy it is! Have a safe and joyful Holiday weekend Shady!♫

    1. Hi Thisisme. I came across that photo of Rusty and Chips as I was looking for something to go alone with the quote. I hadn't seen that photo in years...Rusty was 5 yrs old then. Well, we got a small swim pool with a little slide for Scootie, and, he's really enjoying it. It got to about 90° today, so, out with the sunscreen to keep him from burning. He is so fair-skinned.

I was able to get some plantings done in the gardens today with Scootie swimming and laughing outdoors. Your gardens are so lovely, you work so hard to keep them up. But like you, I have to stop to rest in between digging and planting. I'm thankful now that Rusty has taken an interest and helps me with them.

Thank you so much for stepping in to say hello! I hope your weekend fairs well! See you soon! hugs!♥

  3. 90 degrees! Wow , that's HOT!!! I wouldn't fancy gardening in those temps, but I guess you get used to them. Little ones just love water, don't they?! Enjoy the rest of your Memorial weekend my friend .

    1. Turn on a water hose with a child around, and you're in trouble! Shawn always manages to get himself soaked, while pretending to water flowers, haha!

    2. Whenever I look at particular plants in my garden nowadays, you spring to mind too. Those succulents (around my little tennis player) have the same effect now as well :D) It's beaut to share our mutual likes and I appreciate your blog-friendship very much xx

    3. We do have a lot of the same types of plants, and, succulents are fun. Mine are taking over the bowl, so I will try to thin them out and give to a friend. I had no idea they would flourish as they did! Thank you so much for visiting again Susan. I enjoy our visits so much! See you again soon. ♥
