Sunday And My 100th Post!

~ Roses and Elvis coffee * photo by Suzanne in April 2013

Good evening my dear readers and Happy Sunday (although it's just about over)!  I know this is slightly out of character for me to just POP in and send impromptu messages, but, I just realized that I've been blogging for almost 3 years now...sometime at the end of May (way end of May, the 29th)!  And, to boot, I have written 99 posts!  Most of you have written 500+ posts...so, I thought I could at least hit the 100 mark!

I've really enjoyed this part of my life, in fact, it has brought me much joy, AND, it's FUN!  There are a lot of great things to write about...there are those things just off the top of my head, or subjects that we're all familiar with, but, just need a refresher course on.  A lot of the subjects I've hit on are those that I knew absolutely nothing about!  I've taken on some pretty challenging projects during my blogging career, and, I've also learned a lot from your blogs...it has truly been rewarding!

Well, anyway, I just want to thank all of my readers for sticking with me , even those who are still too shy to stop and say hello!  We all laugh together, and cry together...but, mostly, we GET together and agree to have a grand ole time, each time!

Here's what we had for dinner tonite!
here are the fixins'

~and, the finished product!

You're right!!!  German Potato Salad!!!  Actually, these photos are from when I made it last month.  I take photos of some of the foods I fix, and I did prepare it this evening.  This is so good, and, it's a keeper in my house!  It is actually one of Betty Crocker's original recipes, but I use kielbasa sausage instead of bacon, and it suits us, as a complete, one-skillet meal.  A small dinner salad serves well with this dish.

Thanks Betty Crocker!

Ok, gotta go now...work day tomorrow, and the first day of our annual 2013 audit!  It's going to be a tough week, believe me.  Oh, we'll do fine...but it's a tiring and stressful event!

Thanks so much for all of your visits these past few years...I've loved every moment of it!  I feel like I've known most of you for a good part of our lives, and, I hope we can always be in touch!

Be safe...see you next time! (Wow! Big Heart)

  1. Hello, dear Suzanne and congratulations on your 100th post. My 500th is coming up around Christmas this year. I agree with you 100% that blogging is fun and rewarding and the friendships formed along the way are as real as any other. I always feel at home on your blogs because you are down to earth and the things that interest you also interest me. It works the same way on my blog. You are an extremely loyal friend, very knowledgeable about the music and really seem to get and appreciate what I'm doing over there. Thank you!

That German potato salad looks yummy. The winds were blowing across Florida from the west today and now I know why Toto was sniffing the breeze. She smelled your kielbasa! (LOL)

I hope you get through your tough week in fine shape, dear friend Suzanne. I'll be thinking about you. Take care!

  2. Hi Shady...wow, 500 posts! You have been blogging a bit longer than I have, and all of your posts are fabulous! I really didn't know what to expect from blogging...I just wanted to write about some things that I like, some things that I find cute, funny, real, and, or, unreal! I found all of that! And there are many folks who are interested in the same things we are!

And, the music...yes! I have such an appreciation of it, and, there is so much out there that we didn't get to know years ago...that's what YOU bring to us! It's fascinating!

Thank you so much Shady for your valued friendship, and, your knowledge of all kinds of music! There's a bunch of us out there no doubt! We're all PenPals with pictures! Keep that jukebox crankin'!

And, I hope you didn't make Toto suffer and gave her a treat! Have a great week...see you soon!♫

    1. Well Thisisme, I'm glad I made it this far, and still having fun! My roses have been good to me so far this year, I think, because we've had some cooler weather longer during this spring.

Thank you so very much for your compliments...I'm so glad to know you (still like your arm-warmers!) Elvis will always be our main man, won't he? Hugs!

  5. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of
your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or
2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
